Bondi to Manly

She loved the sea. She liked the sharp salty smell of the air, and the vastness of the horizons bounded only by a vault of azure sky above. It made her feel small, but free as well.

A couple weeks ago we had the most perfect Sydney day! We woke up super early (6am which is almost way too early for a Saturday) and drove over to Bondi to do the coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach which has to be one of the best ways to start the day. It was so beautiful. Early in the morning is the best time to go as it can get so busy from mid-morning onwards.

I snapped all these on my iPhone and have had them hiding in my camera roll ever since, but I feel like they need to see the light of day as it was definitely a day that I felt needed to be documented.

For the second half of the day we were in Manly for a farewell dinner for Eddy before he went off to go skiing in Canada for a couple weeks! We got the train into the city and caught the ferry over to Manly before having cocktails and dinner at Hugos - one of our faves!

It was such a hot Sydney summers day so it felt like pure magic to start the day in Bondi and end it with dinner on the water in Manly. Sydney can really blow your mind sometimes (actually, a lot of the time)!

We even got treated to the moon shining so brightly over the beach at 8.30pm! The world is a magical place!
